(03) Merseyside Rail Scene (1980's & 90's)

The site owners home area which covers the period from 1980 to 1999. Over these twenty years you will see the gradual changes from the BR Blue period, through Sectorisation and onto the privisation period. Some say this was one of the most interesting railway periods ever especially when it comes to variety of motive power and the splash of colour! This section covers the numerous rail lines in Merseyside, and some of the loco hauled passenger & freight flows some of which is now history and never to be repeated - happy days may be?
